Impact on Parents and Carers Report, Worksop, Nottinghamshire
This report shares the stories of Chrissie, Jo, Albert, Pat and Angie; 5 people who said yes to a ground-breaking programme co-designed and delivered by Each Amazing Breath CIC in Manton, Worksop and funded by Bassetlaw, Newark and Sherwood Community Safety Partnership.
They were all seeking tools to help them with their varying mental and emotional health challenges and this report portrays the impact of the programme and how they feel it will affect their lives going forward, in their own words.
Each Amazing Breath are confident that those who read this report will feel privileged to hear the stories of people who have been willing to share, in such an open and courageous way, their journey with this ground-breaking programme, which drew upon co-founder Mark Lilly’s 25 year background of working with trauma and people from challenging backgrounds, alongside one of our most experienced trainers, Julie Christian’s expertise, who bought to life this exceptional programme.
The report finds that each individual interviewed found the course highly valuable and experienced shifts in perceptions and changes in the way they see “things”, including life situations, challenges and personal behaviours. They each reported varying degrees of improvements within their mental, emotional and physical health and even improvements in their most important family relationships.
4 years on, Each Amazing Breath are still in touch with these amazing people and know that they are still using Take Five to help them feel stronger and more resilient and that the programme has had lasting individual and personal benefits.
